PPWR statement

Declaration of Conformity
EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (EU) 2025/40

Based on our formulation, manufacturing process, and the information available from our raw material suppliers, MELITEK products comply with the applicable substance requirements of Article 5 of EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR).

Heavy Metals
We confirm that the sum concentration in the product of the heavy metals listed below does not exceed the 100 mg/kg (100 ppm) limit established in Article 5(4) PPWR:

  • Cadmium (Cd)
  • Hexavalent Chromium (Cr(VI))
  • Mercury (Hg)
  • Lead (Pb)

PFAS

PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are not intentionally used in the manufacture or formulation of the product. Based on our knowledge of the product composition and available supplier information, PFAS are therefore not expected to be present in the product at concentrations exceeding the limits specified in Article 5(5) PPWR (relating to food-contact packaging). Thus, we do not test each raw material or product we produce for trace amounts of these substances.
