On August 29, MELITEK’s factory in Nr. Alslev sat the scene for a festive celebration of the company’s 25th anniversary as a production company. More than 120 employees and family members joined the event, which took place in brilliant sunshine and a relaxed atmosphere – with everything that belongs to a true celebration.

The day offered guided tours of the production site, live saxophone music, food from trucks, cold drinks, and garden games in the green surroundings. Guests could also take a lift 26 meters up in the air to enjoy the view of the factory and the six new silos, which were officially inaugurated during the celebration. A large, elegant party tent was set up, where the evening continued with dinner and social gathering.

The new silos represent an investment of DKK 20 million and mark an important milestone in MELITEK’s ongoing development. In total, the company has invested more than DKK 100 million in expansions and upgrades over the past 5–7 years.

“This is not just a celebration of our 25 years of in-house production – it is a celebration of everything we have created together as a team. This is the employees’ day. Without their dedication, responsibility, and willingness to stand together, we would not have come this far,” said CEO Kim Laursen in his anniversary speech.

MELITEK’s journey began with the idea of establishing Danish plastic production, and since then the company has grown into an international player with customers worldwide – especially within the medical and healthcare sector. In 2020, MELITEK set an ambitious goal of doubling the business within five years – a goal that was already achieved earlier this year. Now, the company is taking the next step with a focus on sustainability and the development of new business areas, including recycled plastics. “We are still driven by the same pioneering spirit as in the beginning – and we believe that with the right team and the right mindset, we can continue pushing boundaries,” said Kim Laursen in his speech.

The celebration was a reminder of the community and the growth journey MELITEK has been on – and a strong statement that the journey is far from over.
